What are the best and worst things about your job?
The best thing about my job is dealing with young professionals because I believe there is a lot to learn from them. My job also involves brainstorming and coming up with new ideas every hour which is another exciting part about it.
The worst part about this job is that you frequently need to deal with inefficient bureaucrats and judiciary which is frustrating.
Who was the first lawyer you ever worked under? What is the one important lesson that you learnt from him/her?

If a seventeen year old came to you and asked you whether he/she should consider a career in law, what advice would you give?
My advice to a seventeen year old would be that there are many lawyers in this country but very few good lawyers. This is the best profession provided it is practiced with honesty, integrity and the highest ethics.
What was your first car? When did you buy it?
My first car was my mother’s second hand Fiat 1100D which I bought from her in 1980.
Which is your favourite restaurant?
‘Cipriani’ which is in London, Venice, New York and Hong Kong
What is the best book you read in the past year?
‘The Argumentative Indian’ by Amartya Sen
Where did you go on your last vacation?
My last vacation was in Lugano in Switzerland
Which historical figure would you invite for dinner? If you could only ask one question of him/her, what would you ask?
I would invite Lady Mountbatten for dinner and my question to her would be “Is what they say about you and Jawaharlal Nehru true?”
What is the most significant change that you would make to the law school curriculum?
I would like the school curriculum to include some of the new areas which are developing in the practice of law like Competition Law, and International Trade.
What is the most significant change that you would like to see in the legal industry in the next five years?
I would like to see accountability of the Judiciary and Lawyers.
